Surma Girl, Ethiopia Among the spectators at the Surma stick fight are young unmarried girls. The winner of the Surma stick fight tournament is presented to a select group of girls who decide among themselves who will choose the champion as her husband. The winner must then offer the girl's parents a bride-price of cattle.
